In the wilderness, I find serenity,
in nature, my soul is set free.
Nature's canvas, a masterpiece, its beauty beyond measure, let us never cease to seek and treasure.
Story-telling for me is a tool to bridge the gap, between humans and nature, to foster a lasting relationship.
As a little boy, I was always fascinated by nature. During my summer holidays, I would always look outside the window and sometimes climb on the roof of our ancestral home, trying to look for colourful birds, little insects and butterflies. During my initial years of college, I was always interested in the art of taking photographs and creating videos. Consequently, film-making to me became a tool that provoked thought, educated and informed an audience.
My love for nature coupled with my camera transformed me into a nature and wildlife photographer. It also opened a doorway to conservation. I have always believed in working towards creating a sustainable future for humans and wildlife alike. As I found that nature is what makes me happy, I started working as a Naturalist in North-east India. Subsequently, I worked as a Naturalist and Wildlife Photographer in foothills of Himalayas and developed a wildlife camp there. The role of a Naturalist has helped me come closer to nature than ever before, as I bridged the gap between people and nature and experienced the best of nature every day in my daily work.
As a keen wildlife photographer and filmmaker, my passion has taken me to some of the most remote and beautiful locations in India, where I have captured stunning and intimate portraits of the world's most fascinating creatures. I am constantly documenting and studying wildlife around the country and sharing stories that need to be told – through my work. This passion has also led me to pursue a career in natural-history filmmaking. I wish to create visually empowering content that not only informs people but drives them to take action towards conservation and climate change. I want to highlight the success of community-based conservation initiatives taken up at the local level in the villages of India to protect and conserve wildlife and nature through my films. During this journey, my work has been featured in numerous international magazines, galleries, and exhibitions, and garnered me multiple accolades. But in this creative field, learning never stops and nature is the best teacher you could ask for.
